Rain adorns the first day. The air is warm with a hint of newness.
This week I'm starting a new saga. "A new chapter" seems so played out. This is saga worthy stuff.
Acceptance news came about a month ago from Oregon College of Art and Craft. I am officially a BFA degree seeking Fibers student.
I initially overlooked OCAC, thinking I wouldn't have the gumption to apply. I felt intimidated by the level of art work I saw from students here. After some time I came to realize that's exactly WHY I needed to apply; not turn away from it.
Starting this 'saga' in January of a new year seems perfectly in place. 2011 just might be the best yet.
The start of the year has certainly been promising. Angela and Dave came to visit for New Years and helped Tim and I celebrate our anniversary.
Shortly after,I had the pleasure of getting my portrait taken by Sean Mcfadden, a friend from Blue Moon Camera & Machine ( in St. Johns ). I've been a fan of his black and white portraits for a few years now and feel honored to have my own! I hope to get to the coast soon despite a busy schedule. I really can't go long without seeing the ocean; there's always a draw.
March will bring Jen and Justin's baby shower. I will be a proud auntie to yet another nephew and couldn't be more excited. The due date is April 1st. Only more to come......
